So i stayed at this hostel with my classmates. Me and a friend got a two single bed room.
There where a lot of noice from the trains which made it a little hard to sleep all night. The breakfast was good and the shower was very god, just like new. Actually the best thing about the room was the bathroom. The room was clean and i would stay there again on a trip with a school.

Chose the hostel/hotel from Late Rooms for 10 people (2 rooms of 5) cost was twenty pounds each per night. Excellent hotel, location was exceptionally good just off the Kurdamm. Breakfast basic continental but cheap and plentiful. Easy access to everywhere from the Zoo station which is only metres away. Area is a little downbeat but excellent bar underneath run by an ex German Football international. Probably not the place to take someone for a romantic trip abroad but for Friends who want a cheap place to stay superb.

For those who have complaints consider the price.

Very unorganized. The staff was not friendly nor helpful. Bad experience.

A friend and I stayed while backpacking across Europe and it looked like a lot of others were doing the same. The hostel itself us a relatively standard hostel with either dorms or private rooms (which btw are private dorms with 2 made up beds instead of bunks). The hostel seemed to get a lot of business from groups which are usually placed on the 2nd floor and as expected this floor is very loud and chaotic any time of the day. The hostel has a very small terrace bar on that floor but while we were there it was constantly swamped by a large group so everyone else stayed away.

The staff seemed to be fairly new and so were quite slow and originally sent us to a room that already had people in it (we had hired a twin private room) and after 30 mins they manages to issue another key.

The main downside though is the area it is in, the immediate compound is very seedy with sex shops and dodgy food stalls. The area across the road was a building site which had some shops around it and yet was packed with tourists and countless beggars. It is also MILES from the main attractions eg. Brandenburg gate etc.

In conclusion if you have a large group it may be a good idea to stay here but everyone else should go somewhere else and never look back...
