We came to Tryp for a drink after a long walking tour during our trip to Berlin. We were staying in hostel and in the time we spent at Tryp (less than an hour) we felt more welcome and looked after than we had the whole time at that hostel.

The bookings manager was so kind to us and set up another hotel room at Mercure (which was lovely!) Nothing was too much trouble and after a series of bad events (broken suitcase, broken camera etc, etc), this holiday could have gone horribly wrong!

We came to Berlin to celebrate our 7 years of being together, when we moved to Mercure, we slept soundly and managed to navigate our way to The Bird (which is apparently where all the English and American people go anyway). We had a great night and thoroughly enjoyed the rest of our stay in Berlin.

Anyway, we just wanted to thank you for the kindness you showed us. You didn't have to do any of that, but you did. The minute we left that hostel, everything changed- we stopped resenting Berlin and starting enjoying the beautiful city!

When we checked out, not only was it cheaper than we thought it would be, we were also able to leave our suitcase and explore the sites on our last day!

We stayed at Hotel Mercure while visiting Berlin. It is very close to the U Bahn station, maybe too close as you can really hear the trains but we enjoyed it closenest anyway! The breakfast was very good with tons of choices, however at 16 euros per person I thought it was a little steep, especially if you don't feel like taking that big breakfast before heading out the door. The staff was very cordial and made sure everything was in good order so we could enjoy our stay.

Nice and clean hotel in a quiet neighborhood. Although located slightly off from the main city center it still has a very good location. With a U-Bahn station serviced by 2 lines just 100 meters away from the hotel, you reach the city center, the cental parts of the former West Berlin as well as the former East Berlin center in less than 10 minutes.

Very good breakfast buffé served in a nice breakfast room or on the silent inner court yard.

Good value for money and well worth recommending.

This hotel had the friendliest, most helpful staff, along with a great area. It was my partner's 30th birthday and without asking, they left a lovely gift in our room with a card. Definitely wouldn't have expected that for a 3 star. We will definitely return to stay in this beautiful city.
