“Great Choice”

Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights whilst visiting the Berlin Christmas markets.

Hotel is an excellent choice, situated on the east side but easy to locate to all areas of Berlin, as it is by the U Bahn station that takes you to Alexanderplatz and then you can reach anywhere in Berlin.

The hotel is clean, the rooms very comfortable, we had a room facing the road and had no problems with noise from the road, we had no problems sleeping, breakfast is excellent and offers all you need. Staff excellent, we asked for extra pillows on arrival to the room and within minutes the pillows arrived. I cannot find any fault with the hotel, we arrived 3 Dec and the temperature outside was -11 but the hotel was lovely and warm everywhere.

The Hotel opens into an atrium at the back that has shops and restaurants, we loved the German Bauernlümmel restaurant in the atrium, far right corner , well worth a visit, you may need to book if there at the weekend.

Was super nice, super helpful, and super cute.

Hotel was a great value. Clean, quiet, cheap, and a quick trip to the city center. And the lights in the bathroom mirror make you feel like a model.

If you need internet, there is a great place just up the street. 1 euro an hour (and sells beer cheap, too).

The only thing to look out for is that the breakfast is a bit pricey at 14 euros/person.

“strategic position”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 March 2010

I spent 4 nights at this hotel, rooms were well furnished and clean but what I appreciated the most is the position of this hotel, close to Brandeburg tor and the Reichstag, and to Alexanderplatz (from where you can reach every part of the city). There is an internal square in the building to which the hotel belongs, it is not very crowded (this makes rooms very quiet) but you can find an ATM machine and an apotecary there.
I would not recommend to have lunch or dinner in one of the 3 restaurants in the square because Berlin is full of places where you can eat and enjoy, but all of them have very good reviews on tourist guides.

“Experience East berlin”

The hotel had been booked for us and i had no idea of the location but it proved to be ideal for the first time traveller to Berlin. Located near the U Bahn it was ideal for both the centre (Alexanderplatz) and the airport. Breakfast was excellent and staff all very helpful.

“good value and great location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 November 2009

We stayed at the Hotel for one week and were quite satisfied. The location is great – not the City Center but very close by transit. The trip from the airport, using public transit was very fast (and inexpensive of course).

There was some street noise but the hotel is in a real neighborhood and I would never trade windows that open for AC.

There are restaurants and cafes in the area (but what area of Berlin does not have cafes) so we did not eat at the hotel – not that we likely would regardless of the hotel.

We would certainly stay there again.
