I was travelling solo and stayed here for 3 nights. Clean, spacious rooms, basic furnishings. I really liked the location as it was so central - I arrived close to midnight and had no trouble finding the place after dropping off the airport shuttle on unter den linden, and on subsequent days, it was easy to get to all many other major attractions. My room was on the ground floor, and I opened the window for ventilation which allowed some bugs in which bit me, but the room itself is spotless. I had an attached shower, and I also had an exclusive toilet, but the toilet was outside the room, next door - which i thought was an unusual arrangement, but no complaints, since I probably only used it once a day. Staff are friendly, and one lady even gave me good local tips on where to eat near the East Side Gallery. overall, it is fairly basic, but for the price and location and cleanliness - really can't complain.

Spartan aesthetic but clean, friendly and helpful hotel. Location wise it's excellent, it's literally a 3 min walk to the U2 Ubahn (train) a major line that connects u to Alexanderplatz a major train station hub and center of the city. Also around the corner is a supermarket and 2 blocks filled with restaurants.

Also getting to Tegel airport was a breeze use the TXL public bus, costs a normal bus fare and is a 10 min walk from the hotel. The bus stop is in front of Apollo Optik store on Un de linder Boulevard.

I stayed here for three nights, Fri Feb 19 - Mon Feb 22. I paid 55 Euros per night for a spacious private room with an en-suite bathroom; breakfast was not included in the price. I thought the hotel was safe, clean, and quiet.

The two downsides that I remember were that the rooms were airless and there are no phones in the rooms. All the rooms are on the ground floor so most people would feel uncomfortable leaving their windows open. Consequently, the air in my room got hot and stale. Also, there is soft core lesbian pornography on the walls, which is either a plus or a minus depending on who you are.

There was wireless in the lobby area of the hotel. The hotel managers are very sweet, but they are not around all the time.

The accomodations were very clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was very good and reasonably priced. The location was spectacular; within a couple of blocks of the underground, restaurants, various types of shops (including a large grocery store), Brandengurg Tor.... The location felt very comfortable and secure. The only downside was that rooms are on the ground floor so I didn't feel comfortable leaving the windows open so it felt a bit warm. I would definately go back and probably will!!! I would recommend to any woman travelling alone or with a companion (female).
