My wife and I, and another couple stayed for three nights. The Executive Rooms were very good and deserved the four-star marking, as did the breakfast. The staff were excellent and could not do enough to help.

The location is very convenient with a five-minute walk to Museum Island or Charlotten Plaz and two minutes from the S-Bahn Station. An ideal and, relatively speaking, affordable hotel.

There is no wireless in rooms - only in bar.
The breakfast looked like it would have been good, but I did not eat any because there were flies crawling on the meat and cheese, and the eggs were well undercooked.
The room was too hot (I was given a fan, but there is no AC).
Aside from that, the room was simple and fine and the location is great. But considering everything, this place is seriously overpriced.

We booked this hotel based on previous reviews on Trip Advisor and we couldn't have been more delighted.
It's true the standard rooms are a little small, but how much do you really need on a short city break? We feel it really isn't worth paying extra for facilities you won't use.
The hotel is clean and the staff are most helpful and genuinely friendly.
Location-wise it is superb. Very close to the S-Bahn station, with many restaurants and bars on a couple of minutes walk away.
We didn't have breakfast at the hotel and found several places nearby, all friendly and very reasonable.
Don't miss the market outside the station on Thursday and Saturday!
We will certainly book this hotel again on future visits and we would be very happy to recommend it to others.
For German food try Weinerstephaner by the station, or Mansy on Oranienburger Strasse. For Turkish, try Hasir (also on Oranienburger Strasse). All excellent food, service and price. For Breakfast, try Rocco under the station; the Sunday brunch is fabulous!

Stayed her 3 nights in snowy Feb. Very convenient central location and reasonable price for rather small room. Down side was shower room fan and heater didn't work and not fixed while we were there : and breakfast while excellent if E15 extra, and there aren't many alternatives nearby - unless you're OK with just coffee. But we didn't need much lunch.
Eating try Nikolaviertel - looks very touristy bus reasonable places, too - we loved Kartoffel-Laube (see reviews) for good solid, winter, reasonable food and excellent beer - try the dark beer, it's smooth and just right for these meals.
