This was our first visit to Berlin but I hope it won't be the last. The hotel was comfartable, friendly and efficient. The room was a good size and well equipped and our request for an extra pillow met straight away. Lovely breakfasts including fresh fruit and freshly cooked eggs and bacon available. The location is excellent - walking distance from most of the sights in the centre, very close to the river, lots of restaurants, cafes and bars as well as shopping opportunities right outside. And a tram stop and underground for exploring further afield. Day tickets are good value and available in reception, along withpostage stamps.

I stayed for one nigth at this very central hotel in Berlin. The room are small and the forniture is not very modern but ok for one nigth business trip. At nigth some people shouting in the street awaked me up, but it may happen everywhere in the world.
Breakfast is very good and the position is very central so it may be convenient also for a long weekend in town.

The hotel room was excellent and the staff were very helpful and pleasant. Its location in Hackerscher Markt. area is both good and bad. The good part is the lively market next to the S bahn station round the corner and the close proximity of Hackescher Hoff a group of interlinked little squares that house fantastic bars, restaurants and unique shops. The down side is that the Tram system has a major terminus stop in front of the hotel and they go on till about 3.00am also there is a lot of passing noise if you like to sleep with window open, perhaps ask for room at back of hotel ? For those of asensitive disposition there are some street workers appearing close to the hotel at night.
I think this is more a young persons location and although we loved the hotel would choose a quiter spot for our return
