“Absolutely the best!”

I have stayed at the Grand Hyatt, Berlin sixteen times. The most recent stay was December 27, 2011 to January 1, 2012. It's a great hotel. The service is fantastic and the facilities are first rate. I'm headed back again in June and I'm really looking forward to it. It's the best hotel I've ever stayed in and never disappoints me.

Room Tip: I've stayed in many rooms and they are all excellent

“Great location, will return!”

I stayed at the Grand Hyatt Berlin with friends a few years ago!

From our arrival to our departure, we were treated very well.

The bellhop was friendly and knowledgeable, and the desk agent had an unforgettable smile!

Hyatt service is always top notch, and does not go unnoticed here...

The hotel is well-located, and Berlin is an amazing city in itself, with so much history!

I definitely recommend the Grand Hyatt Berlin to anyone.

“Well located for sightseeing”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 January 2012

This is a very well presented hotel - attractive interior, interesting artwork. We had a very nice king room with a view; the room was spacious, quiet and very clean with a very comfortable bed. A window that opened was a welcome feature. The bathroom was large, with a bath and a walk in shower. An ironing board is not standard in the room but was brought immediately we asked for one. The staff were, on the whole, very friendly and we received a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine when a member of staff spotted a birthday when we exchanged travelers' cheques. The hotel is very well located for sightseeing but less so if you are looking for a lively night life. The hotel seems to cater more to business guests than tourists and we felt very under-dressed among the shirts and ties and suits at Saturday morning breakfast, and I didn't feel that the staff were comfortable with our attire.

Our cons are minor in relation to the positives: very limited English language TV channels - basically only sport and news. Films were on offer but quite old and at 10 euros expensive. Wifi was also expensive at 18 euros a day (the first half hour was free). Given the price of the rooms I think you could reasonably expect free wifi. Better water pressure in the shower would be nice. The breakfast buffet was disappointing - especially the hot food which tended to be over-cooked and greasy.

All that said, overall we loved the look of the hotel and the room, and had a very comfortable stay.

Dear Guest,

Thank you very much for your recent stay at Grand Hyatt Berlin and having taken the time to comment on our hotel at TripAdvisor.Your feedback with regards to our facilities and services is extremely important to us and allows us to continually keep our standards and improve our performance.

We are delighted to learn that you were more than satisfied with the overall cleanliness and our rooms. However, I have noted your remarks regarding the shower, the TV channels and the breakfast buffet offered, and please rest assured that I have already shared your feedback with the responsible departments.

For the English language TV channels we, unfortunately, have a limited choice of channels and try our best to find a selection that fits most of our guests.

Would you kindly let us know your breakfast preferences in order to make your next visit at Vox restaurant as pleasant as possible.

For any further assistance, you are more than welcome to contact us at your convenience.

Best regards,

“Top hotel”

This a 5* hotel which really is...along with some of the prices!

Room excellent and very quiet ( courtyard facing and party walls appear to have effective sound proofing which is often not the case even in good quality hotels). The bathroom area is large and very well appointed.

Ice delivered each night but use sparingly with the contents of the mini bar- very expensive (as usual).

Location great.

Food also very good but we limited to one night only due to the cost of the wine (38e- cheapest!) but not a problem as surrounded by very good restuarants and bars.

The jewel of the hotel is the 9th floor spa area- swam on Christmas day overlooking Berlin followed by steam room and luxury shower/spa facilities!

This hotel delivers.

Room Tip: Courtyard facing rooms are quieter. Upgrade to Grand King.

“Excellent location to explore Berlin”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 January 2012

Had the opportunity to redeem a three night stay at this property courtesy of the Gold Passport program. I arrived in Berlin around 1pm at the hotel from Tegel airport and was promptly checked into my choice of a King sized bed room.

The hotel looked really modern and a bit minimalist - the rooms when I entered were spacious and had every luxury inside, including heated floors in the bathroom (which were much appreciated during winter!) - in terms of room amenities we had a B&O flat screen TV (not that we would spend much time in the room!). The beds were large and very nice to sleep on.

The room I was in was situated a distance from the main lift however, it was much closer to the Club Olympus lifts - which led to the health club. I wandered up to the health club and saw there was a nice gym, changing rooms which led to a German sauna / steam room (mixed genders) at the back and a heated swimming pool and jacuzzi. I did spend a couple of mornings just soaking in the jacuzzi which was wonderful in winter!

The location of this property was wonderful as it was within 10-15 minutes of the Brandenburg gate (I stayed during the New Year's Eve so it was a bonus just walking to and from the gate!) - the sound of fireworks going off late into the night didn't really bother me much. The U and S Bahns and trams and bus stations were also very close by within a 5-10 minute walk.

Food - I can't really comment on since I did not eat at all in the hotel - however they had some nice touches like leaving some sweets / chocolates in a bowl in the bedroom.

Internet - I guess this was the only thing I would pick on as you were only allowed 30 mins per device per 24 hours and would then have to pay for the rest of the usage.

Price - I can't really comment since this was a redemption!

Concierge was very helpful in pointing us to the places we wanted to go to on the map.
