This hotel appears to be converted single room apartments from the communist era. The rooms were a good size. Mine had two single beds, a wash room with toilet, basin and shower. Plenty of hot water. I also had a little kitchen area with two hot plates and a sink but nothing to do with them not even a kettle to make tea or coffee which is a shame as the hotel had now restaurant or bar so if I got hungry or thirsty at any time after breakfast I had to go out! There is another hotel with a bar/restaurant open to anyone across the road but if I wanted more choice I had to walk a quarter of a mile to alexanderplatz which had a good choice of bars, restaurants and access to the train networks. The bed was acceptably comfortable but not luxury. The towels and sheets kept clean and tidy daily. Breakfast was good in the continental style with an excellent choice of fruit, serial, cheeses, sausage, scrambled eggs, coffee, tea, fruit juices etc. The reception desk was staffed I think from early morning till about 1am.
There was some building work which did not effect me or the other guests but it looked as if they might be fitting up an area for a bar or restaurant. I hope so as this was the only major fault I found here.
Overall a reasonable experience but not for the pampered! I would go back if I was on a budget as it is very well situated, close to trams and bus routes and only a short walk from trains at Alexandraplatz. Very clean and with a good breakfast.
