“Comfortable and Reasonablly Priced”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 January 2012

I stayed at the Bleibtreu Hotel for 9 nights.
The positives: free minibar, fridge in room, nice lighting, small balcony adjoining room, heated towel racks, wonderful front desk/concierge. Nearby grocery to stock up on snacks and drinks.Bleibtreu Cafe and Calcutta are nearby great restaurants. Interesting decor and nice steam room. Free apples in the room every day, as well as water, non alcoholic beer and natural soda.
The negatives: First hour internet free, after that you pay by the hour. This was not the best since I do business through the internet and use it often for communication in the US. The shower had no barrier so the entire bathroom gets wet. It is manageable if you remove anything in the room that you don't want wet, especially from the floor.
New Years Eve my room bill was WAYY overpriced.

Room Tip: My room was on the street side and quite nice, but I could not see any fireworks from my balcony.

“Very cosy little boutique hotel in downtown Berlin”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 November 2011

I really liked our stay at the Bleibtreu. Ok the rooms are not exactly huge but very cosy and decorated with style. Everything was a little unusual and extraordinary. For example the Minibar is free (I am not kidding, I could not believe it myself at first) and refilled every day. You get a book as a present (not sure if it's any good or not but very nice idea). The ceiling light has step less dimming. And so on and so on.
They also have a nice (but small) SPA with a steam bath.
The location is not bad, just a few steps of the famous Kudamm. Though the Kudamm area was the gravitational center of Berlin when it was still separated, today it is a little far from the new Berlin center (Mitte, Potsdamer Platz etc.). But the KDW and the Kaiser Wilhelm Gedaechtniskirche are still worth a visit.
You can park very near the hotel for 9 EUR for 24h. On Sundays and over night you can park for free in the street in front of the hotel (if you are lucky to find a parking space).

“Nice stay in relaxed hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 October 2011

We travelled by car, but took our bicycles with us. A perfect combination, because parking was nearby and not very expensive. By bike city-centre was very close. But by foot the Kurfurstendam is only a few steps. The youthfull staff was very helpfull and friendly. We had one of the luxury rooms, it was very nice and roomy. If we visit Berlin again, Hotel Bleibtreu will be our choise again. The included restaurant is fine and comfortable, but prices are a bit higher then Berlin in general. Overal Berlin was a great city to visit and Hotel Bleibtreu was a good choise.

Room Tip: We liked our room because we could look in the lively street, the room next to ours had a balcony. T...

“Just returned from Berlin 10/5/2011”

I can't say enough about the staff at the Bleibtreu Hotel. Everyone was informative and eager to make our stay the best it could be. The location is not close to all of the attractions but that is the beauty of it - it is a great place to unwind after a busy day sight-seeing. The restaurants nearby offer a variety of cuisines and all that we experienced were wonderful.

“Very Frendly and good hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 September 2011

What an amazingly good hotel ok the rooms are a bit small but well portioned. The staff are some of the friendly we have meet. The receptionist even printed of our boarding passes. The petite waitress in the bar at night was so friendly and no language problems. This hotel dispelled many of the myths of Germany and the German people for me. The breakfast was exhalent a fantastic buffet or anything hot to order. Even a bottle of Prosecco on ice on the buffet to help your self to. I recommend an espresso with Prosecco with your breakfast if you stay. A free non-alcoholic mine-bar in the room was good They helped make this a great 4 day break in Berlin
