“Amazing!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012

My mother and I had a wonderful stay here. We checked in on the 17th of December for the Christmas markets and stayed for three nights. The staff were all so friendly and very helpful. We'd booked a Business Class room, for a spot of luxury, but on arrival they advised us that there were no Business Class rooms available, but hoped we would be satisfied with a Junior Suite instead. Erm... yes please! On the second morning they were decorating the HEAT restaurant, so there was a minor delay in seating us for breakfast. We weren't too bothered about this, but during our meal a member of staff came around with a tray containing glasses of champagne, by way of an apology. Such a lovely touch, which was appreciated! We also used the hotel spa, which was lovely! There's a bar in the spa too, so I had a drink there while my mother had her treatment. Perfectly located for Mitte and if you go for the Christmas markets it's just over the road from my favourite Christmas market. Will definitely be staying her again at some point in the future!

“Superb hotel with amazing aquarium!”

I've never spent so much time fixated on the interior of a hotel. I made sure I got a room facing the aquarium. This was a real treat. Such a fantastic and surreal view from the room!
Hotel staff were very professional and courteous, probably some of the best services I've received in a hotel. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Room Tip: Get a room facing the aquarium (no external view but it's quite surreal!)

“Excellent!”

Very interesting hotel - the huge Aquarium in the lobby is an eye cacher! Stylish location, inspired modern design, friendly staff with an helpful and well informed concierge. Didn't try the breakfast. We stayed three times in Mitte last year but Radisson Blu is still top of the list. And the view from the room - watching the fishes .... is something!

“Modern and nice hotel in good location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 January 2012

The rooms at this hotel are really nice with a very comfortable bed. They have a really cool aquarium which adds an edge to the hotel. The standard on the room service food is really good, and service level pretty good (for germany at least). I have a Carlson Club gold card, and they do not seem to give you anything extra. I have stayed here 4 times now, and never got anything (no upgrade, no breakfast included etc etc). However, it is a very nice hotel, and I will continue to stay here as it is good value for money.

Room Tip: Get a room facing the TV tower on the higher floors as the rooms on the lower floors might be a litt...

“Great Location, Excellent hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 January 2012

Repeat visitor at this hotel, booked 3 night’s trough brand website (Stay 3 Nights & Save 10%), standard single room with breakfast excluded.

Arrived Tuesday afternoon

** Check in **

Efficient and fast check-in, receptionist spoke good English, got an upgrade to a business class room (without having to ask for it), and was informed that Internet, TV and breakfast was included in the upgrade.

** Room **

Got a room with an overview over The Berliner Dome Church, when I arrived at the room everything looks and smells ok.

Bathroom with shower.

Bedroom and work area contains king size bed, flat screen TV. Small work area with a big enough desk for a laptop etc

Room was equipped with a mini bar, nespresso machine as a small safe.

AC is provided; it worked well.

** Internet Connection **

WiFi is provided for free throughout the hotel, no problems with connection or speed.

** Sound isolation in the room **

No problem with disturbance from nearby rooms or the hallway

** Breakfast **

Nice breakfast with a lot of options, by far the best hotel breakfast I have had in Germany.

** Restaurant **

Did not eat at the restaurant except for breakfast.

** Lobby Bar **

Spectacular view of the aquarium, the drinks and the service is nothing special but not bad either.

** Gym / Relax / Pool**

Small pool, a couple of different saunas, small gym.

** Check Out **

Fast check put, bill was correct.

** Club Carlson recognition **
I got the room upgrade and the in room welcome gift.

** Conclusion **

An excellent hotel if you want a hotel that is near Alexanderplatz, the aquarium in the middle of the hotel is worth a visit in itself.

You also have excellent communication with the nearby S and U–bahn and several Trams and bus lines.

I always try to stay at this Hotel when in Berlin if I can get a good price when booking.
