the room are not well insonosize, so if you got noisy neighbor, forget about sleep :-)
just "business" hotel far away from everything.

The hotel exceeded our expectations. The staff were incredibly friendly and could speak english which was great. The subway was right outside the hotel which was convenient. The only issue we had was the timing of our trip - New Years 2011 - so not many businesses were open around the hotel and we barely ate that day as a result. The hotel staff told us nothing would be open on new years day and the sunday to follow however we did go to city centre and found that was not the case. Other than that it was a great stay. Thanks!

The room is great and comfortable with standard Mercure room, ambience, facility. I booked online in Accor's website and the price was really affordable to the facility it provided. The hotel also has a swimming pool though it was freezing when I was there in winter time (but it summer it should work well). Hotel staffs and receptionists, though they don't speak English very well, but they try to help as much as possible consideing the tourists attractions information. The underground metro station is located next to the hotel, and it takes you around 20 - 30 minutes to reach the city center (Kurfurstendamm and Postdamer Platz areas, or the Berlin Hauptbahnhof). The hotel is located quite far from the city centre (though perhaps it is one of the reason why the price is affordable because apparently it is hard to get the same price with the same facility at the city centre). Nearby the hotels are supermarkets, restaurants and cafes. The only weak point is just the location, othet than that it was great.

Staff were LOVELY. restaurant - limited menu and pricey for what you get. Limited English-speaking TV stations. Tube station right outside hotel. Room was cold but they were struggling with temps of -20c when we were staying. No tea-making facilities in room. Very basic hotel but fine if on a budget.
