Bed were too hard and no good chair in the room. Breakfast was in Andy´s next door - it was very kaotish! Too small for so many people.
We have been in Ibis Messe Hotel 2 times before - it was better (fine) then!

This is one of the lowest reviews I have ever written for a Western chain hotel. Some of the lowlights I encountered:

Showers functioned sporadically. Pressures were low sometimes and temperatures would not go too high. This is a problem I encounter in $10 hotels in the Third World, not in Berlin.

Breakfast quality was low. The only item of hot food was scrambled eggs. Again, some of the lowest quality breakfast in a Western chain hotel I can remember. I would have gladly paid to eat at the next door American style diner but that was closed for breakfast.

No safes in the rooms. You'd think that a hotel catering to business travellers would provide them in the rooms. All this and I paid EUR 109.

Aside from that the fact I was charged for internet access was only a minor irritant. The site is very convenient for the Messe which is across the street and has good access to both the U-Bahn and the S-Bahn. There is a taxi rank next to the hotel as there is a long distance bus station there.

Great location for someone attending conference in icc. Small rom but clean , would have appreciated free wifi in the room as other ibis hotels provide it.. Good road and rail connectivity.staff at reception pleasant and helpful..

Stayed at the Ibis in September when I was in Berlin for a conference being held at the convention center directly across the street. I had my hesitations initially as I typically prefer to stay in 4+ star establishments especially when traveling in Europe but the Ibis was perfect. The room although small was clean and the service was friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was a bit expensive especially considering the the poor value of the USD but both the S and U-bahn were right outside the hotel door to make evening jaunts to downtown very convenient.
