This place would normally be out of my budget, espically since i ended up in a suite that was bigger than most flats i visit in London. But my company was paying so i sat back and enjoyed the good life. From arrival, when i was offered a glass of sparkling wine to leaving, the stay was excellent. My suite offered a standard of living i have so far never expereinced, with a small gym-like room containing an exercise bike to the sauna in the bath room. The only negatives i could remark on were that i had to repeatedly order a beer in the bar before it arrived and that the breakfast in regards to food was okay (but the set up was impressive). But these points take nothing away from a great hotel, with great service and great location in the heart of the city.

We stayed here for three nights in freezing Berlin. Everything in this beautiful is the absolute top. Everything the spoiled traveller wants. Spacious, classic rooms, with lots of light and very comfortable beds, dressingroom, black marble bathrooms, where you can take a bath while sun is streaming in. If we were not so anxious te discover Berlin, we would have loved to stay the whole three days in the hotel.

My recent stay at the Adlon was my second, and although the first stay was great, the second was even better: the free wireless internet is a very welcome addition, and the standard of customer service — already very high — has increased.

The location is excellent: very close to public transport (and abundant taxis), right next to the Brandenburg Gate and opposite the Tiergarten, a short walk to many major tourist destinations, and a very easy trip by taxi or U-bahn from the main station.

The rooms are very well-equipped, with large and exceptionally comfortable beds, and sufficient wardrobe space. Housekeeping do a great job, and often leave bowls of fruit and/or chocolate.

Breakfast at first seems expensive (over 30€/person/day), but is very definitely worth it — a huge variety of breads, spreads, cereals, cheeses and cold meats, with the usual hot dishes prepared on request. The quality of the individual elements is exceptional (best bacon anywhere) and the overall selection is very well designed.

The selection of on-site restaurants is good, although I only tried Uma (Japanese-inspired cuisine). Room service seemed fine, with reasonable prices and nice presentation, but as my sole order was a currywurst I can't comment on the food quality.

Both experiences with the Adlon were great, and I look forward to staying there next time I'm in Berlin.

I stayed here for a company event so I can't comment on the price. What I can say is the location is brilliant - eating breakfast looking at the brandenburg gate is superb. 5 minutes from the Reichstag (3 days notice if you want to do the atrium tour). The spa, pool, bar & restaurant are all excellent. Rooms were pretty special with a comfy bed and well insulated! It's probably the best hotel I have stayed in in Europe
