I stayed here for a company event so I can't comment on the price. What I can say is the location is brilliant - eating breakfast looking at the brandenburg gate is superb. 5 minutes from the Reichstag (3 days notice if you want to do the atrium tour). The spa, pool, bar & restaurant are all excellent. Rooms were pretty special with a comfy bed and well insulated! It's probably the best hotel I have stayed in in Europe

poor service, poor lodging and a weak front desk staff add up to poor experience. They actually lied about my ability to upgrade to a higher grade room, which I was able to do online at the front desk. Room Service was for a simple coffee was bad. For 300 EU a night for a poor room, we weren't allowed access o the hotel for 30 minutes as a political dignitary was in town. This is simply wrong

wandering through europe with my son, we stopped in berlin after iceland/denmark/norway and decided to splurge. hotel staff greeted us like we were bank presidents and not old hippie and teen-ager with backpacks. received magnificent room up-grade with huge opening windows on top floor over-looking brandenberg gate. lobby/bar/breakfast all world class. have stayed in many five star establishments, but never had better room or hospitality. kempinski is always first class, but this hotel truly rates its flag-ship status. stay here , if you can.

This is one of the finest hotels I have stayed in some 100 plus international hotels. The hospitality was something that I had never experienced before - disciplined. The location is the finest. I could just walk out of the hotel and there would be fun and frolic all around. The big Gate that is so much German in it's appearance is awsome. And though the restaurants in the hotel serve the finest fod, I would recumbent a walk out of the hotel to the restaurants close by. And the sausage stand just outside the door is great.
