Big hotel, but you get personal service. good for all, tourists and business personal-
enjoyed our stay, no complaints at all. Good value, lovely breakfast, with lots of choice.

The hotel was excellent in almost every area. I recently used it for a conference. The accomodation rooms are well styled and have some clever touches and the meeting rooms are very well thought through including more than enough power sockets to go around and excellent audi-visual equipment. The food was also surprisingly good, esp. the lunches served during the seminar. The onlything I would have liked to have seen was more equipment in the hotel gym. The prices were very reasonable. It is not a place to stay for visting the centre of Berlin, but a brilliant hotel if organising a conference

My boyfriend and I stayed at Andels Hotel, Berlin as part of the Groupon offer for two nights.
Our initial impression of the hotel began 4 months before our visit when we asked whether we could change the date of our visit, despite the fact that this was outside the Groupon expiry date. We were pleasantly surprised that this request was accomodated. From start to finish the staff seem to go out of their way to help their visitors enjoy their stay.

The hotel is stunning, very modern with some of the best amenities that I have ever come across. It also has some unique details e.g. english TV which plays the audio in the bathroom so you never miss a moment (??!!), heated floors, as well as the more usual huge comfortable bed and powerful shower. I have read that this hotel is only rated 4* rather than 5* to encourage businessman, and I do not find this hard to believe at all. This is definitely a corporate hotel but we never felt uncomfortable or out of place for being common tourists!

The conciege was helpful in advising on trips and transport links although we had some difficulty with the tram lines (although I am sure the boyfriend just got confused with the pretty maps....)

The breakfast was quite simply delicious - do not miss this! - everything from waffles to scrambled eggs and salmon. We ate like pigs and didn't need feeding again until dinner time. We unfortunately did not eat our evening meals at the hotel. (the italian across the street is friendly and very reasonably priced - big portions!)

We went to the Sky bar on the Friday night and the view really is excellent. The atmosphere is quite chilled and very chic - quite busy but we got good seats.

Overall the hotel was the highlight of our trip. We were not particularly impressed with Berlin as a city - i think we were hoping to find more history considering its' past - but have come back raving about the Andels Hotel!

just returned from a 3 night stay in a standard double at Andels.
Very modern hotel, but very nicely done. Huge entrance, with warm welcome on reception. Nico took us up to our room on the 4th floor, and then helped us with all the gadgetry in the room and map of Berlin. We had a standard double with shower room, it was a good size, funky decor, flat screen etc. Good continental breakfast buffet, hot and cold. Again, very good service and lovely staff. You get the feeling, they enjoy working there....
We chose Andels even though it hasnt got the best location. We wanted to be in east Berlin, slightly grittier area, as we wanted to feel some of the history. To put it politely, the hotel is not in a great area. there is nothing around, other than graffiti. However, and this is a big however, the hotel, amenites and staff more than make up for this. The tram runs bang outside, taking you to Alexanderplatz in 10 mins. We prefered this, as we felt more like Berliners, than tourists. For us, using public transport is an important way of seeing a new city. From Alexanderplatz you easily walk to all the uber trendy boutiques, restaurants adn see great contrasts in buildings (old grey blocks, mega depressing, then beautiful buildings in really vibrant streets) Great Vietnamese restaurants.... and amazingly expensive denim shops!! overall , highly recommended. had a great mohito in the skybar as well! (keep clear of the peanuts though, they were slightly weird!!)
