The Mercure Hotel in Wuerzburg is a very good hotel. If you are traveling by train, it is too far to walk and you must take a taxi. If you are traveling by car, there is ample space for parking. The rooms are standard European size and very clean. The breakfast buffet is very extensive with the local German fare and the standard items that will fit most people's diet requirements. The location is ideal for siteseeing; walking to old town, the castle, and the Brewery BierGarten.

Style of the early Nineties

This house is a dark and depressive locker for travellers. The room is dark with a small desk which is cluttered with TV and accessories and is utterly inedquate for writing or opening the laptop even for a short time. The bed itself consists of two seperate matrasses, soft and low and does note make for a good sleep. The bed cover had a specific and very unpleasant smell. The walls were thin enough so I had to endure the snorring of my next-door neighbor during the night.
The bathroom is old fashioned, no shower, just a bath tub with a plastic cover, consistent with style of the 80s and 90s featured in this house.
In contrast, the breakfast was rich and good, featuring even some Frankonian regional delecacies such as Weisswurst or fried Nueremburger saussages. Considering the the rough, occasionally even rude attitude of the staff, my last breakfast was the best thing that happend to me in this hotel.

It is an ok hotel in an ok location. Hotel is a bit outdated but very clean.
My room was very small, it seemed to be a children bedroom, the bed was far too short like only 1m70 or something. But it was ok a bit expensive for such a small room.

A bit shabby hotel and definetly overpriced. The location is very good, near the river and across the bridge to the old city.
Parking in the back yard is complimentary which is good.
We thought the wi-fi was included inthe room price but it wasn´t. Neither was the breakfast,
which was very good but also very expensive (16 euros). The bar was staffed by student girls
who were very nice but didn´t serve customers well.All in all: the quality and the price didn´t meet.
