This is not a fancy place decorated in the newest fashion- lots of wood, furniture, wallpaper and fabrics straight out of the 60's. We had very large room on 3rd level reached without benefit of an elevator. We could regulate the heat so we were finally able to sleep in a room that wasn't overheated. Odd bathroom arrangement in room #12 - toilet was in its own small room separate from the rest of the bath. Nice feather bed, but one very thin pillow each. The staff was friendly and helpful and had purposely assigned our group rooms at top floor because of the noise from a musical festival which was being hosted on site. Our room had been permeated by cooking odors from the kitchen, traveling companions didn't notice it in their room. Usual German breakfast of cold meats, cheese, fruit and cereal. Things to be aware of when reserving at this location: shops are all closed on Sunday; room 12 has three skylights which will allow light very late at night and very early in morning in summer;; check for schedule of music festival - venues very crowded, smoky and noisy.
