“Hotel for One Night stay”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 August 2010

This is a hotel for buses loaded with tourists! We stayed for 3 nights but should have stayed for one or two. The staff is friendly but there is really no service that the hotel offers. Tourist buses come loaded every evening - so don't expect great service at dinner or breakfast - they are totally focused on the tourist bus business - not on individual customers. The location is about 10-15 minute walk uphill from the town - Six Euros for teh cab from the train station - dont try pulling your luggage up the hill.

The general maintenance isn't very good and it is certainly NOT a 4 star hotel we were told it was.

There are some good things about the hotel. They have this idea of having boiling water available - no tea, coffee, milk or sugar - just water and cups. There is a supermarket at the bottom of the hill, get the 3-in-one coffee sachets - as we did and enjoy coffee while watching the river Lech flow by.

The hotel is next to the river and we did have a great view. It's also close to Lech Falls and you can reach the town by walking along the river. They also do laundry by the load, ask at the reception - 10 euros and all your cloths washed cleaned! There is free internet in the lobby, but only one computer - so prepare to wait if you don't have a laptop.

“Wonderful stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 August 2010

The Euro Park is an uphill 15 minute walk from the train station. It is in a lovely quiet setting. Our room had a entry area with built in closets and a door to the bathroom and sitting area. The bathroom was large, bright white-tiled with double sinks and a long shelf over the sinks and a glassed-in shower. The sitting room had a small couch, coffee table TV on a desk, chair and entrance to the balcony. The bedroom was small with just the bed and night stands, but a light bridge over the bed for reading.
Breakfast was normal fair for Germany; bread, meats, cheeses, cereal, yogurt, juices and coffee and tea. They also had raw eggs and soy sauce for the Japanese tourists. Yes, they have bus loads of tourists coming in, but if you wait 20 minutes until they are done and loaded up, you can have the dining room with a lovely view almost to your self.
There is a very nice bar down the hall from the reception desk.
Walk around behind the hotel to stroll along the river and you will come out by a church in town, not far from the main shopping and restaurants. It is a short cab ride to Neuschwanstein or you can walk into town and take a bus.
There was a computer with internet access in the lobby, but it was often in use.
Housekeeping cheerfully did a load of laundry for us for 10 Euros. Our train left before breakfast one morning and they packed us a "lunch" of sandwiches, juice, chips and a candy bar. I got the impression that they might not do this for the big tours. We were so grateful that they did this for us.

“We'd Never Stay In This Place Again”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 May 2010

A run down and dated inn, the first thing we noted after exiting the elevator was the smell. Could it be caused by the stained carpeting? No, once in our room the source was obviously the bathroom. Yuk. The dining room was only open for tourist bus meals: any other time we were out of luck. AND, the breakfasts were mediocre at best, a surprise after so many great meals everywhere else. The parking garage was inaccessible without involving hotel staff. One of the gate openers was incapacited from inside the garage. The hotel is not actually IN Fuessen, and finding it was a challenge. Did I mention how thin the walls were? We've informed out travel agent to think twice before putting anyone else there.

“Decent for passing through, not for an extended stay”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 March 2010

We stopped at this hotel on our way to Austria.

As other reviews also state, it caters mainly to busloads of tourists and it shows. Check in was speedy but impersonal. Fine for us but could do with some finesse.

Having been on the road all day we wanted to have a drink to unwind before heading to bed, so we headed to the hotel bar which was supposd to be open until late. Unfortunately it turned out to be closed, on a saturdaynight! Appearantly if there's no customers early then they just shut it down. Very odd.

There was hot water provided in the lobby but no tea of coffee so that was a bit useless in my opinion.

The breakfast was realatively decent but not what I would expect for that price. I guess that sums up most of my opinion, on everything it feel just a little short and that's really too bad for a hotel with such potential.

Only stay here when you're passing through and can get a good deal on the room rate.
