“Perfect place for a Bavarian break”

We stayed again in our favourite hotel in Bavaria. In the last year the hotel has been extended with a new wing to the east. This now houses the reception, spa, fitness room and another restaurant. You now have a choice of new rooms in the east wing or the original rooms in the west wing. I prefer the west wing evenb if it is a little more expensive. Dinner was great and after the buffet breakfast you do not need lunch. I'll use this hotel every time I am passing through Fussen in Bavaria.

Room Tip: The west wing is the original Kur Hotel, with rooms that are bigger, old world comfort and my choice...

“Comfortable with beautiful views!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 December 2011

We stayed here for two nights in early December 2011 so we could easily visit the castles. When we arrived the staff greeted us and gave us a free upgrade. The room was amazing! Clean, comfortable, and with a great view of the mountains. Both the hotel restaurants and breakfast were very tasty; the breakfast had a HUGE selection of items. The hotel is close to the train and bus station which makes it easy to get to the castles and other attractions near by. We plan on staying here again when we go back one day to explore the Alps for some hiking!

“Perfect ambients for relaxation in Alps”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 December 2011

We traveled to Fussen for the weekend and selected this hotel in the very last minute.
At the reception we were warmly greeted and were upgraded. It seems like it's a hotel policy to upgrade most of its individual guests because I read many reviewers saying the same.
Room was freshly refurbished. Slightly lackered wood panels and modern furniture were mixed and made a good impression. Red carpets looked a little heavy, but nevertheless we liked it. Bed and pillows were great. Our son could not stop jumping and rolling over. Selection of TV programs was the best I saw during last 5 years. Bathroom was a masterpiece of art and design. I never saw hotel which spent so much effort to impress the guests by bathroom design. However, glass doors were not a good idea: when you open it outwards you can either stuck or break the door.

Breakfast was perfect, but restaurant was very very crowded. People were fighting for food while personnel was breaking legs to bring more. At the end I could enjoy everything I wanted, but atmosphere was a little bit of a Sunday market :-)

What was really not good is that when we asked in the evening for hot water to make up food for our tiny son we had to pay 4.50EUR for a cup. Is it a 4 star hotel approach? Please put an electric cattle in room and stop collecting small coins. Customers will eager to pay for your good services, but not for cup of water. In general we liked the stay very much.

Room Tip: 3rd floor was the best! Ask for it.

“tricky and not efficient and rude”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 November 2011

i spent a night in this hotel just because it is very close to the castles. The hotel looks smart and very posh. the price of the room was hight. The room was really large and plenty of comfort. There was television, bar, covert and soft bed, hair drier and everything really. the problems came in the morning at the moment of the breakfast (which was aniway really good: the food was delicious and there was a really big buffet with cakes and brioches and many other stuff). At the reception it was told the breakfast started at 6.30 so I managed to get up early in order to go to the castle reception very early and get the tickets as soon as possible ( u can not get an idea of the queque at the entrance). When I went to the breakfast room which is next the hotel it was closed. I had to call a lady and ask for the breakfast trough the window and she said it started at 7.30. I tought I was wrong, thus I waited. But I started to look inside and there were people having breakfast! I went to the reception and in the morning is scarcely organised and I have to say that the staff is also not kind and helpful and they give u information fast and do not care if u manage or not with the things. They said to use another access which is inside the hotel!!! So I tried to look for it but I could not find the access and I had to come back at the main entrance and knock at the door when it was 7.30! Horrible! I had to ask to another costumer to call someone and open the door, I was left literally outside and I was cold. Horrible! again, problems with the payment. Please use an agency to book the hotel and do not pay before. I did and they have accepted the card and charged the money and when I went to confirm it they told me the card was not working...(but they charged the money), thus I had to pay with another card twice! Now, I am still writing them to ask back my money! Really, it do not worth this price. Rude.
