Unable to find good reasonably priced accommodation for New Year's Eve, this was a great find: a quiet, comfortable and spacious room; balcony perfect for watching New Year's Eve fireworks glass of wine in hand and a meal in the dining room that was top class. A brisk walk to the city centre for cultural sites of the oldest city in Barvaria.
Breakfast with 'on the spot' scrambled eggs cooked by the chef was a delightful surprise. Not sure if we'll ever be back in Augsburg but if so we'll stay at this hotel.

My wife and I stayed here for just one night and to make it short, this is a very nice place to stay at when staying in Augsburg. Value for money is pretty good, rooms are modern, very clean and large, breakfast is especially good and pleasant, a pretty flawless experience. You can easily park your car on the street overnight, there seemed to be enough parking spots within easy walking distance of the hotel and Augsburg is a very safe city.

Would we stay here again if we needed a hotel in Augsburg? Without question. Interestingly, the Dorint brand seems to be almost wholly based in Germany. I would love to see a hotel of this type in cities like Amsterdam, Paris or London.

With rooms located in possibly the tallest building in Augsburg, there's great views, our room had a vertigo-inducing balcony, sadly we were facing north so couldn't see the city or Alps. The hotel is in a quiet location just outside the centre, in a quiet spot next to a pleasant wooded park and a conference hall. The tram stop is a 1 minute ride and from there the trams run regularly to the centre, a 5 minute journey.

I understand from other reviews that the parking is now renovated, which is good, as it was a complete dump when I visited, completely unsecured and also very dark + creepy, I wouldn't like to a be lone woman parking a car here at night. Hopefully that has changed.

Otherwise the level of service is what I've come to expect in Dorint Hotels, nice bar/restaurant, although I was disappointed to see that the "extras" (beer, pretzels etc) that I'd requested for my room during reservation via the Dorint website never showed up. Room service breakfast was also 30 minutes late. Perhaps room for improvement there.

The rooms are huge, with a penthouse apartment feel !

During our stay, the Arminia Bielefeld football team made the Dorint their home, so it must be a good hotel !

There's also an Edeka supermarket about 5-10 minutes walk away, if you want to buy food and drink.

I spent over 100 nights in this hotel in the last 12 months. The service is second to none and the quality of e food is excellent. The garage used to be a dump but they have opened a recently renovated section and it is excellent. The 12 euro for parking is a little steep but very secure. Staff are excellent and very friendly.
