My husband and I stayed at the Intercity for 3 nights, while traveling throughout Europe. We took the train twice to Octoberfest which worked perfectly. The hotel is minutes from the train station, out the front doors and to the right. Great signage from inside the train station. The staff was very nice, and recommended a great Italian restaurant two blocks away "La Villa". The rooms were small according to American standards but very comfortable. The bed was very good. If you look on the website the room is just like it's shown, no suprises. One thing we noticed is in Europe may hotels don't have ice machines, which is the case at the Intercity. We didn't eat at the hotel, because we either at left early in the morning, or ate at one of the nearby bakery/restuarants. The charge for internet is over the top at 15 Euro per day, but we knew that before we booked. Right across the street is an internet cafe which charges $2 euro per hour. So if you need a quick fix you can get on for a limited amount of money. We loved Augsburg, you must take in the beauty of the city. I gave this a hotel a 4 only because they charge for the internet and have no ice machines. Otherwise everything was very good.
