I was staying in Augsborger Hof Hotel for 3 nights in July and had chosen this hotel because of good reviews. I can confirm that the rooms have ok size, very clean and good bathroom. The bed is a little low; if you have back-issue this might cause you a problem.
The breakfast is basic but good. There is only one problem; I was staying there at a very hot time during the year (33-35 degree Celsius in daytime) and I’m sure cheese and milk have stayed out in room temperature from 07 in the morning. You have to ask for scrambled eggs.
The lack of air-condition would be a huge problem during hot days in the summer, in my room it was never below 25 degree during the night. You have to sleep with the windows open and if you are unlucky to get a room fronting the main street there are 16 trams every hour from 05 in the morning and until late night - in addition to a lot of car noises. I fan in sealing do not help much. But air-condition might not be a demand for the hotel to be classified as 4-star hotel?
The staff at the hotel where great and will help you to make the stay as good as possible!
