We arrived four days ago (7 July 2011) and stayed for four days.
When we arrived we realised the room was ready for only one occupant, but after talking to reception, the helpful young man closed the reception (there was nobody waiting to book in, BTW) and personally took up the extra towels, duvet and pillows.
The breakfasts were really good, with smoked salmon (I'm not kidding) great cheeses which were not part of the "cheese and ham" slices that is a normal European breakfast, even though they were there as well.
There was a range of fresh bread to choose from; even French rolls that you could cut yourself, with a cloth napkin (for hygiene) provided. I won't describe everything else as I didn't eat it, but it consisted of fresh yoghurt, various cereals and orange juice, etc. All very fresh-looking.
We had room 209 on the second floor, but, as per the previous comments, we ordered a room facing the courtyard. Very quiet indeed.
The room was well decorated, although the bathroom did have a retro-80s feeling, and the hot water took two minutes to come through.
We found out just before we left that you can have vouchers that allow you *free* parking in the big parking garage in the square across from the hotel. We goofed, because we didn't ask about this, but were told on the last day by reception. 10 Euros a day didn't seem that much, but it was nice to not pay anything at all for the last two days.
The hotel is very close to the centre (everything is "around the corner" in Regensburg), and the price was very good. I read here that it was a lot less than their normal tariff.
24-hour service at reception, although the lift could do with a refit (built in 1962).
We liked this hotel a lot, and will go back in the future.
