With our bike trip along the Danube starting from Passau, we were booked in the Weisser Hase (white rabbit) hotel. The location in Passau is ideal. On the main square and walking distance from the railway station. The hotel itself is comfortable without being great. We did get free internet access and the breakfast was quite a spread.
This hotel is mainly used by bikers starting their trip towards Vienna.

Stayed there for 2 nights over weekend at a single room: Quite spacious with one single bed, TV flatscreen, spacious bathroom in 70's-look. The hotel is few minutes away from the main train station and the river Danube, just at the entry of the main shopping street but with quiet rooms/location. Breakfast buffet was a bit disappointing as 30mins. before service ends, the choice wasn't really there. An overall decent hotel for a short visit. Helpful and nice staff.
