“Very pleasant stay”

A nice central hotel a short walk from the old town and the railway station. My room had a balcony and a nice view over the rooftops. It was very clean and well appointed. Staff were most warm and friendly. A great big buffet breakfast and although the restaurant was totally full due to some sort of conference the staff coped really well, constantly re-setting vacated tables and keeping the buffet selection replenished - really good job guys!

Very quiet room too - so I was a happy guest!

Room Tip: Rooms on the higher floors have a better view and mine had a balcony.

“Good location, Comfortable Stay, Good Value”

We (family of 5 with 3 young children) stayed at the Sheraton for 4 nights while visiting the Christmas markets in Nuremberg. The main reason I chose this hotel was that we were able to get 2 connecting rooms. This is the perfect arrangement for our family.
The hotel is well located near the train station and just a short walk from the old city walls. It took about 20 minutes for us all to walk to the Christmas markets.
The rooms were clean and comfortable. The beds, pillows, and linens were all of a high standard. The rooms are cleaned each day, and towels and linens changed if you wish.
The breakfast buffet was very convenient and offered a good variety. We also ate dinner in the restaurant a couple times and found the service and food quite good (although a bit expensive). Room service was prompt and tasty.
The staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful. I would stay at this hotel again if I were to return to Nuremberg.

Room Tip: Our friend had a room with a view of the castle- so perhaps ask for a room with a view.

“Relaxing stay”

My husband and I spent a couple of days in Nuremberg after Christmas. We chose the Sheraton because of all the good reviews and the spa facilities The location, as was mentioned before, is perfect, next to the railway station and within walking distance to the "Altstadt", the old city, as well as the underground and tram. Parking is very convenient, either at the parking area next to the hotel or the underground carpark. Our room (executive room on the 5th floor) was spotlessly clean, very spacious and equipped with all amenities to make our stay as comfortable as possible - bathrobe and slippers, ironing board, flatscreen TV with a wide range of international channels, complimentary bottle of water every day, etc. And although the railway is very close not a sound could be heard in the room. All the staff are very friendly, well-trained, helpful and efficient. I do recommend a visit to the spa area on the 8th floor - there´s nothing like it at the end of a cold winter day. And you´ll have a wonderful view over Nuremberg, there are windows even in the sauna! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will certainly be back.

“Decent Stay, Very Pricey for What You Get”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 December 2011

About a month out before Christmas, we wanted to find a place to stay in Nuremberg... Not a good idea as there are few hotels in Nuremberg and LOTS of people at Germany's biggest Christmas Market! We didn't have much choice and so selected this hotel. Very clean, pretty good location... about half of the hotels rooms overlook a train/tracks leading to the train station... Breakfast in the morning is EXCELLENT! Room was pretty nice, but nothing extraordinary. Parking is a major pain in the ___ as it's small and requires contacting the front desk to get to your car (they actually have car elevators, which is unusual, but not convenient). Out of four individuals we dealt with at the front desk over two days, one was nice and helpful, three were extremely rude if non-helpful.
So, management be sure to remind your front desk personnel that guests are good, smiling is good, and being nice and helpful will bring you more customers!

Room Tip: Ask for a view that looks toward the old town, higher up is better...

“Very nice experience”

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights over the Christmas holiday. The hotel is located just 3 minutes away from the main train station and within walking distance of the Old Town and all the restaurants. Nuremberg is a relatively small city and the main areas can all be visited by foot. Upon arrival we were slightly disturbed by a roaming noise in our room (633) and asked if we could get another room. The staff kindly upgraded us to another room with larger bathroom and offered two vouchers for free drinks at the bar. Many thanks! Since most restaurants were closed on Christmas Eve, we decided to eat at the hotel. The main restaurant was fully booked as many locals were spending the evening there. Instead, we ate in the Boymann's Bar and ordered the Christmas menu, a nice 4-course meal. Service was a bit slow but it has to be expected on such occasions. We didn't have breakfast or other meals at the hotel. The rooms are big and nicely decorated in a sober but modern way. I think this property is of a higher standard than other Sheraton properties I have stayed in. A major plus was the Fitness and Spa area on the top floor. The gym is relatively small but equipped with brand-new machines. The spa was definitely a nice surprise, whirlpool, sauna, hammam, and relaxation room. All free of charge. The hotel allowed me to check-out at 4pm since I have SPG Gold status. All in all, a very nice stay. If you ever go to Nuremberg for Christmas, bear in mind that everything closes at 2pm on the 24th Dec., including the famous x-mas market. Many restaurants stay close until the 26th Dec, limiting your options over that period.

Room Tip: The area is very quiet. Executive rooms have separate bath and shower.
