“Very poor service!! We will stay at another hotel next time.”

On arrival, when we checked in at the reception desk, one of the receptionists started cursing when something didn't worked the way he wanted. We found this very unprofessional!!
When we asked them about a city map and for a nice restaurant, they send us to some poor italian place. Not a very good recommendation!
The room was too hot and very small compared to other hotels in the area we stayed in previously.
Not a large range of choices for breakfast and the tables were still dirty when we arrived, although there weren't many guests around. The coffee can was reused every time a new guest arrives, without even cleaning or refilling it with fresh coffee.

We didn't like this hotel at all!! Very unfriendly and lazy staff. The reception desk was always unoccupied.

“OK for business”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2012

Room clean, but impossible to turn air conditioning into heating, not pleasant when outside temperature is -14C. Breakfast OK, but nothing special. Dinner very average: parsley root soup good, but filled vegetable pancakes had been hanging around being kept warm and arrived with congealed cheese sauce - too tired to complain. Trout the following evening slightly better but not more than average. Wine by the glass was unremarkable. Waiting staff very pleasant and friendly. Long wait for taxi; wish I'd realised how near metro station was. On checkout pre-booked rate was questioned and I refused to pay any more. A business hotel, nothing more.

“Good hotel in the right place, service a bit hit and miss”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 January 2012

Very good hotel, comfortable rooms and good sleep quality.
Bar service at night is a bit hit and miss, often you have to wait a while and then ask at reception for someone to serve you. The day before we left there was a very long queue to check out and only one person on reception. Luckily when we checked out it was much better.
Breakfast is particularly good, lots of buffet choice, hot and tasty.
I'd be quite happy to stay again.

“Excellent Value For Money By The Old City Centre”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 January 2012

I had read some mixed reviews of Park Inn Nuremburg before I booked, and most seemed fixed on the 15 euro per night price tag for wi-fi, and the expensive breakfast.

Putting this in perspective, I got an excellent quality hotel virtually across the street from the walls of the old fortified city of Nuremberg for a very cheap price, and even when you factored in the wi-fi, it still worked out incredibly cheap. I think the hotel doesn't build wi-fi into the cost because not everyone has a laptop or smartphone, which is quite practical really, but I think I paid around 50+15eu a night, so we are talking about 65eu with wi-fi, which is still a very good deal given the quality of the rooms & building in general. I got my breakfast elsewhere, because I read the cost and decided I could find a better option outside the hotel. Expensive breakfasts seem to be the order of the day in Europe, and I can never work out why they insist on a 30eu breakfast buffet, when surely a plate of scrambled eggs & bacon, and a cup of coffee doesn't come to that ridiculous amount.

The room I had was very neat, and bigger than the rooms that I got in places like London. I hardly spent any time in the room except maybe after 10pm, and first thing in the morning, and it was very comfortable. The whole hotel looked very modern and quite impressive.

The historic old city was right near by, and I think I was a 10 minute walk from the U-Bahn stop at Weisser Turm. The S-Bahn stop at Steinbuhl was one stop from the Hauptbahnhof, and the easiest way by public transport to the hotel from the train station.

Room Tip: I had a room facing to the south, which was quite fine, and I never heard a sound in the night.

“Just what you need”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 January 2012

We stayed in Park Inn for one night when coming to see a play in Nuremberg theater. The hotel was perfect for the purpose - it offered you just what you need, not more, not less. The place is centrally located, not far from Nuremberg many restaurants, city center, Old Wall, and, of course, public transportation system. Being a walking distance to all of the above, it also offered a competitive price, compared to the other hotels in the nearby area. Our room was very clean and neat, it had a comfortable double bed with crisp white sheets, good lighting and a big window, a TV. There was no minibar in the room. The breakfast was not included in the price of the room. We didn't order breakfast, so I can't judge on the quality, the price for it was 17 euro per person. Bathroom was very clean and well kept, it had a shower cabin. There were shower caps, sewing kit, shoe shiner, tissues, hair dryer on the bathroom wall, but no shampoos or shower gel. To put it in a few words - it has all you need, but doesn't have anything extra. Clean, quiet and central, helpful staff.
We would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a comfortable stay in the central Nuremberg area without breaking a bank.
