Our stay in Munich was short but sweet. We booked a double room for the two of us fairly close to the start of Oktoberfest and it was still available and a reasonable price considering the event was nearly on. The only downfall was the location which was a tram and a bus away from Marienplatz (short walk to the (Glockenspiel) which took about 20 minutes if the interchange time was good. Otherwise we also travelled from the Ostbahnhof via taxi and it was around 10 euro.
The room was large, clean, easily accessible by lift and also had a kitchenette with cook top and kettle. There weren't any mugs or tea/coffee to utilise the kettle but a quick call to the concierge and it was sorted.
Breakfast was a little expensive for our budget but it sure smelled nice when we walked through the lobby.
