I booked the a single room in this hotel for a business trip. I chose it because of the other reviews. The hotel is located in a byroad next to the main train station of munich. The district is not one of the best corners of munich but it was acceptable for me.
The room is clean, simple, an average hotel. The staff was friendly and the content of the minibar for free. The good impression turned into a negative one when I noticed the room on the 3rd floor was next to the street. I asked for another room, but the single rooms are all on the street side, as the receptionist explained. Well, I gave it a chance. I was awaken a couple of times in the night because of the noizy street.
Next morning, disappointed and tired I went to take the breakfast. It was a simple, but sufficient choice of food. An old men introduced himself to the owner of the hotel to the couple sitting at the table next to me. I could not overhear the conversation. The old men asked them for their impression of the hotel and boasted about the good ratings of his hotel in the internet. When he came to my table he asked me for my impression and I told him that I was not able to sleep well because of the noize. To my suprise the hotel owner told me, that this is not possible, because when he bought the building he installed better windows and I surely must have forgotten to close the window.
Obviously this man was only interested in boasting about his hotel instead of listening to his customers.
I went to the reception, cancled my resevation and moved to another hotel.
