Hotel awful. It is conveniently located in city centre. But opposite to hotel the Arabian cafe in which Arabs loudly sing songs is located and shout since morning till the late evening. Rooms in hotel very small also are badly equipped. Floors creak. Photos of rooms on a hotel site do not correspond to their actual condition. The owner of hotel does not put up money in repair and reconstruction many years. Ventilation in rooms is not present. Fresh air can arrive only through a window that in very inconveniently winter. Very bad acoustics in rooms. We well heard even quiet conversation in the next rooms and from a room above. A breakfast poor, very small choice of dishes. This hotel cannot have 4 stars. A maximum of 3 stars should be. I do not understand people to whom this hotel was pleasant. There can be it friends of the owner of hotel? Unique plus of this hotel a convenient arrangement in city centre.

Hotel location is very good, on a quiet street just two blocks from train station, and also two blocks from Stachus, where the main pedestrian street starts. Double door system in the room prevents hearing noise from the hall. Breakfast had good variety. On the negative side, my single room was a bit small.

We stayed in Alpen Hotel for two nights.One at the beginning and the other, one week later,at the end of our trip to the Italian Dolomites.
Great location,3 min walking to Munich HBF ( with direct train to Munich airport),5 min to Karlsplatz and 8-10 min to Marienplatz . Easy acess to all the Munich main sights on foot or by metro. Great value in central Munich.
The Hotel ifself is lovely,it seems more like an house,with beautiful details and lovely staff.
We had a triple room which was comfortable and very clean.
Good breakfast and great service.We had a dinner one night at the hotel restaurant and the food was very good and well priced.
I have no doubt... I will stay always in Alpen Hotel when in Munich!

My family had three rooms for 10 days during Christmas break. Convenient location, nice staff, great breakfast, clean and quiet rooms, we had a great time. We would stay here again and recommend Alpen Hotel.
