hotel was right across the street from the station. 10-15 walk into the city center or take a tram. hotel was very nice. front desk was very helpful.

I stayed there 21-24 December 2011, they have professional helpful friendly staff... breakfast buffet had good varieties and fresh, rooms were clean and good space.
Hotel location is more than perfect, few meters from the main station for underground and trains, also very close to the main shopping area (marine platz)...

I admit that my choice of hotel is usually down to, what one has the best deal at the time and a quick check on Tripadvisor and this hotel was no exception for NYE. I was really pleased as this hotel was perfect for our trip.
I have stayed in Munich a few times and while i cannot fault other hotels I have stayed in (most in the Main Station area) this is by far the most conveniently located as it is literally outside the station (opposite the drop off point for the airport bus). We always use the train to get into Munich from the airport so this is perfect. It was also great as the hotel / main station is a very short walk from the main shopping street that leads to Marienplatz as well as having the S Bahn and U Bahn on your door.
We did not hear any noise from the trains or the area in general and the rooms where clean and a good size for a long weekend. As with most German hotels the doubles are two (larger than normal) singles pushed together with separate bedding. My boyfriends mum is German and apparently this is the norm even in some homes! No fighting for the quilt! This means that in most German hotels if you want a twin a double will work.
Cold buffet breakfast was €14 extra but we choose to eat out as by the time we were up and about the Bratwurst (Imbiss) stalls were selling the local treats!
The hotel where happy for us to leave our luggage on the last day as we had a late flight which was perfect as we were going back to the station. The reception staff were very friendly and professional at all times.

This will now be my first choice for price and location.

Tip : If travelling in a group on the train get a family travel card as oddly in Germany they cover 5 adults (sorry did not pay attention to the number for children) and cost around €20 instead of €20 for one adult from the airport to the station. If buying any additional adult tickets do not forget to validate them with the date stamp before travelling (they were checking on our last visit).

My friends and I booked the M.D.K only a few days before we travelled, I'd don't a little research into Munich and thought the location of the hotel looked good, and how right I was, we stepped out of the S-Bahn station and bang there it was in-front of us. A 5 minute walk from the hotel and you're in the heart of things.

The hotel was clean, well appointed and the staff were superb, when I go back to Munich I will make this my hotel of choice.
