A solid pile (previously the post office) adjacent to the Hauptbahnhof, which is a decent location for getting to the centre of this fine city 12 minutes on foot, and with the station on the doorstep all of Munich and its environs are easily accessible (fabulous lakes to the south – if travelling in a group of up to 5 or 10 kids be sure to make use of the laughably generous Bayern Partner-Tageskarte – less than 20 euros for the entire day – but remember to stamp on 1st use…). Design and finish of the building is excellent, and window to the pool inspired as a feature from the reception. Rooms decent size, and with great bed, but a little too warm for my personal liking. Bar is stylish if a little removed from the beer garden gemuchlikeit atmosphere that the city is famed for.
