I booked 9 people to stay here during Oktoberfest (accomodation is very hard to find at this time), so to find out they had double booked us the day before arriving, was very stressful, and cost us a fortune to find somewhere else to stay. I was very displease with easy palace. So i would not recommend staying there.

We stayed here during oktoberfest which was a great location. It has been newly renovated but we had NO HOT WATER at any time of the day for 4 days!!! It was cold outside and after being wet and drinking all day it wasnt nice..This was the case in other rooms as well as we had friends all over the hostel. We told the staff and they said "We are busy." They also charged us 50 euro per night, plus an extra 50 euro for room deposit and then 2 euro for a key. Wont be staying here again even if it is close to the festival.

The location is perfect for Oktoberfest but about 15min from the main train station. There is a U line very close. We stayed for 3 nights over Oktaberfest 2011. The rooms had just been renovated but so recently that it looked as though they hadn't had a chance to clean the rooms properly. Our main issue was with the lack of hot water. Every morning the water ran out before any of our 6 bed dorm had a chance to shower. When we complained they said it was due to high demand. I tried one morning at 8am, 9am and 11am and nothing! If they could sort this out it would be great over Oktoberfest. Personally I would rather walk a little further to make sure I have hot water next year.

The location is a bit away from the centre of the city, but it is close to Theresienwese, the huge park where the Oktoberfest takes place. The main train station is a 10-15minute walk and very easy to access. The place itself is very good, with clean rooms and bathrooms, great staff, a bar and a restaurant next to it. The only minus would be the kitchen which is a bit of a mess. However, overall, I'd really recommend it, it is among the best hostels I've stayed in!
