The two best things about this hotel are the service and location. It is only a 5 minute walk to the train station but down a fairly quiet street, so noise isn't a big issue. Marienplatz is a 10 minute walk in the other direction. We stayed two nights and only had one full day in Munich so this was the perfect location.

The service was absolutely fantastic. The desk staff were very friendly and helpful. They gave us a map and recommended places to see and eat. It was very rainy while we were there and they leant us umbrellas. They also gave us a choice of rooms and went out of their way to find the key to the adjoining door between the rooms. Breakfast wasn't included in our rate and when we enquired about it the night before we were told it was too late, so spontaneity isn't possible when staying here, but the staff were extremely apologetic.

The rooms are quite dated with tiny bathrooms but they are clean, and the beds are comfortable. The rooms are equipped with tv, fridge and safe. Internet is available but at a cost. There isn't airconditioning but the windows do open. The only complaint I have is that the noise carried between my room and the adjoining room and I was able to hear the people talking and using the bathroom. This might not be an issue in the rooms that aren't set up as adjoining rooms.

Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a well located, basic, clean place to stay with excellent service.

We booked Condor, cause other central hotels were booked already. It was a positive surprise: nice little hotel, clean rooms, fantastic location for good price.

Metro/underground stop is just in the corner, only few minutes walk to main railwaystation and about 5-10 minutes to Marienplatz (the place in Munich) and shops. Also small park Alter Botaniscger Garten (in Elisenstrasse) with nice small beergarden is very close. And the bigger gardens aren`t far awat either.

Rooms are small, but big enough. There is minifridge. But they don't have air condition so in summer it's getting hot! You can open the windows, but can't leave them open when you leave cause of fire exit stairs. Neighbourhood is safe and quiet, no noise eventhough we slept windows open.and it was weekend.

Breakfast is good: bread, different coffees, cereals, fruits, ham and cheeses and they'll make eggs if asked. Staff is friendly with fluent english. You can buy water and public transport tickets from reception.

There's also computer with internet, which cost 1e/hour. Only problem was that it wasn't connect to internet and staff did not know how to do it. Well, luckily I did. Also computer is very, very, very slow and old. It took 25 minute to do online check-in on my flight, Hopefully they will update softwares, browsers and/or buy new computer.

But overall, not a bad choice, very good value and great location. Make reservation from hotel's own internetpages, price was lowest there. And rent bikes and bike along Isar-river to Englischgarten, totally beautifull and relaxing views.

There were no other hotels for a reasonable price in Munich. We took a gamble on this hotel--pretty much booking almost blindly online. It was FANTASTIC!! It's not posh, but it's comfortable and in a super location--a very short walking distance of everything--even the train station. It was safe and nice and clean and the staff was INCREDIBLY helpful and great and the breakfast was yummy and good and there's a nice little outdoors area in a garden for playing cards or eating. It is in a seemingly odd location--a little alley and adjacent to a casino, but it's super safe and we had a great stay.

The first time I stayed at the Condor, my husband and I had found it via the tourist information office at the train station. It is handy to the train station and the huge pedestrian mall with all the action, so it's perfect for those traveling by train. Rooms are not huge, but big enough and will all necessary accomodations. Each time, our room has overlooked the chourtyard, so it's quiet in spite of the location. Staff speaks excellent English and is very helpful in recommending activities, etc. Breakfast is sumptuous.
