I have stayed at this little pension the past two times I have visited Munich. It has charm in the way of a basic, simple pension. It feels more personal than big chain hotels. Peter, the manager, is very nice and accommodating. The rooms are clean but basic, nothing fancy. The building has character. The breakfast is great - a typical German breakfast of rolls, breads, cheeses, sliced meats, yogurt, muesli cereal, and really fresh orange juice. A few minutes to the UBahn station. I like this place also because it is in a residential neighborhood and away from the tourism of Munich - it feels more personal and relaxed to me. And the value is really exceptional!!
My only complaint is the windows aren't sealed very well. Both times I've stayed there it happened to be winter, and the cold air seeps into the room near the windows. Also, in both rooms I've slept in the beds were pushed right under the windows. This time I moved the pillow to the other end of the bed and slept with my feet to the windows, and it didn't feel cold.
I will definitely return here any time I come back to Munich.
