The hotel is centrally located about 10 steps from one of the entrances to the central railway station, offering shops, food court and transport across the city so is remarkably handy to get to and use as a base for sightseeing. I did a lot of this so was very pleased, there's plenty to see and do in the city. Buy a city tour card for €31 which entitles you to three days use of the travel network and discounts at various sights.
Registration is simple and although I spoke halting German, the reception staff understood my occasional English and were friendly and helpful.
The room was small but warm, clean and comfortable, mine was at the rear of the building so a peaceful night was guaranteed. The only gripes being there was a window between shower and bed which would be interesting if you wanted some privacy in the bathroom if staying with someone else. Also the shower didn't have a proper head on it and sputtered out, which made it difficult when it came to washing my hair. Fresh towels every day and a lovely clean room, nothing to fault with the cleaners.
Breakfast was included in the price and was delicious. There was a selection of bread and rolls, pastries, salad, pickles, cheeses, hams, fruit, yogurt, proper tea (earl grey, Assam etc), coffee, fruit juices, jams. Really sets you up for the day and the best bit of the hotel!
