I came from Vancouver to Munich for Oktoberfest. Hotel Apollo was walking distance from the train station and Oktoberfest.
The room was clean and renovated. A convienent hairdryer in the bathroom.
I would definately stay there again.

During Oktoberfest, there's really no such thing as a good hotel value, but we were quite lucky with the Apollo. It's located a block and a half away from the main train station in town, on a quiet side street within walking distance to the Oktoberfest. During this time, hotels triple their room rates, so you don't get much for your money. No, it wasn't a fancy hotel, but it was clean, the room was large, the bathroom was spacious and it was very quiet. The staff was a bit standoffish, but we're not there to make best friends with them! Overall, it was a truly great value!

BEWARE! My husband and I stayed in Room 105 in this hotel on the nights of 31st May 2007 and 1st June 2007. We were badly bitten by bed bugs and have had to had medical treatment on our return home. The room was quite dark and there was a patch of water on the carpet when we arrived but we did not expect there to be bed-bugs! We have made an official complaint to the hotel and will be also be reporting the matter to the Munich and Bavarian public health authorities. The hotel informed us that they will be checking the room but at time of writing we have not heard back from them.

Apollo has been my "home away from home" in Munich for the last 10 years, always an enjoyable & quiet stay, highly recommended!!!!
