Friendly and helpfull staff who spoke very good English. They rang car hire company to confirm my booking and recommended some good places to eat. I had a triple room that was at the front overlooking the main road so there was a bit of noise. The room was clean and serviceable, but not as nice as one of the double rooms at the back that I looked at. (Might be worth requesting one of these rooms). Nice change to have some Haribo gummy bears on the pillow instead of a chocolate. Asked housekeeping for more tea and coffee which was brought straight away. Didn't eat in the hotel, but the restaurant and food looked nice. The hotel is only a 10 min walk from the Central Station. I had checked out the route in advance using the internet, which I was glad about as the exit I chose from the station lead onto a very busy street with not very good signposts (plus it was dark when I arrived). It is best from the underground platform to go up and into the main station and use the exit on your left next to the trains, leave the station and turn right. Paul Heyse Strasse is 5 mins on your left. A lot of Arabic type shops and cafes around the hotel, but its a short walk to the main shopping area for more choice.
