Nice rooms, they updated them all and compared to Holiday INN Schwabing, many times better. There was a gym that could use some more machines - there was only a bike and a stepper (no cross training machine) and a weights machine (that was very good).
Free water bottles was a bonus. Sauna was not bad either.
Room had a nice flat screen. The hotel makes a mess of the priority club points and for the first night forgot to add points at all. I had to spend some time with the customer service and they had to check with the hotel if I stayed there and what rate I paid, etc.
Breakfast is ridulously expensive - 24 euros. I didn't even consider spending that, and as usual I look for a supermarket/bakery and buy breafast for a tenth of that price...
The hotel is a bit far from everything. You can take a tram to EffenerPlatz and walk another 10 minutes or the closest subway is ArabellaPark, also 10-15 minutes by foot.

We accidentally booked the Holiday Inn on Effnerstrasse instead of Central which had all the great reviews. Oooops!!!! The hotel was a bit out of main city center but still accessible by train or tram. The train and tram was a brisk 10-15 minute walk from the hotel. The hotel itself was really clean and quite and the staff really nice. We got a free upgrade and the beds were awesome! I have no complaints about the hotel only that I wish it were closer to town or the train. But we got a really great deal on it and the daily walk was needed to burn off all the beer!

We hadn't booked but they had plenty of rooms. But it was rather expensive at €200 for one night.

Room was spacious and comfortable with a lovely shower.

We tried to eat in the hotels extremely odd restaurants- we waited 20 minutes but nobody appeared to serve us. Just as well as there is a wonderful Italian we found on the Odinstrasse only 5 minutes walk.

Breakfast is well presented with plenty of choice but a grumpy waiter and weird 1970s Tiffany decor.

We stayed here during the Oktoberfest. During our stay, one of our rooms was broken into and cash and credit cards stolen while visiting their sauna. The manager was unhelpful and did not believe us. We went to the police who then returned to the hotel with and got special investigators involved. They also got the fruad squad involved in this. They showed us that it only takes about 5 seconds to break into the room with a piece of wire!! Even after this demonstration, the manager was not very helpful. We did manage to get a change of room and they gave us a free dinner in their empty restaurant! this was a horrible experience which could have been made less by appropiate and an understanding manager.
