wireless didn't work but they fixed it. friendly staff. connection to first metro station pretty far away. nice italian restaurant in hotel. old furbishing but goes with the style. beds were suprisingly comfortble.

As the title suggests I organised a surprise birthday party with a group of friends for my partner. The hotel is very comfortable, convenient (very casual 10 minute walk from/to S-bahn Station and 25 minutes to Munich central (and Oktoberfest)) and well priced for our group. The rooms are very spacious, clean, some with balconies and all well serviced. The Hotel restaurant and bar are well priced with great food and great beer not to mention atmosphere. The staff were fantastic and participated in the Birthday surprise. No complaints even when one early morning raveller tried to get attention of his comrades to let him in - ballowing "Hallo" until he was let in. Recommended by all from the group.

I stayed with my extended family for two nights in mid-September and we were very pleased and thoroughly satisfied.
Location: The hotel is in a very quiet, quaint part of the Munich suburbs. My 80 year old father and other elderly relatives easily walked 10 minutes to catch the U-Bahn line into the city. Other reviewers have complained about this walk but we found it to be no problem. The train ride to the Oktoberfest grounds took around 15 minutes.
Accommodations: Our double and single rooms were located in the "annex" part of the hotel which is 20 meters behind the main portion of the hotel. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and very reasonably priced. Excellent water pressure and plenty of hot water.
Staff: The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Parking: There is a secure garage for a fee, or on street parking for free. The town was so quiet we were comfortable with parking on the street.
Breakfast: We were very satisfied with the breakfast buffet which included a variety of breads, jams, cereals, cheeses, etc.
Restaurant: The food at the Italian restaurant which is part of the hotel was excellent and reasonably priced.
Overall: I would definitely recommend this hotel.
