My wife, grandaughter, and myself spent three weeks at the Montree Hotel in May-June. This as our second stay at the hotel in four years. The room had two beds, a double and a single. The room was a little on the small side but comfortable. The breakfast was outstanding as was the dining room. The hotel was clean, the location being three blocks from the center of town. The Tram stop is across the street and the S-bahn is one block away. The staff is FANTASTIC!! Always helpful, kind, and courtious. Helpful in many many ways, Montree Hotel is a inexpensive, clean hotel. The staff is what made our vacation more enjoyable. We are going to return again this spring because of the wonderful staff.

Saw this hotel on the internet and emailed to book a double room at 160 euros a night during the october fest when all hotels a more expensive. When we checked in and went up to the room it was shocking. What they had actually given us was a single room but piled up 3 matresses on top of each other to make a double bed. The room was dirty smelled of smoke and could not get in the wardrobe becuse of the piled up matresses. We walked into the town centre found another hotel which actually turned out cheaper and was amazingly good right in the centre of town. When we went to pick up our bags I found out that he had already charged my card for the first nights stay as soon as we checked in. SO my advice is don't bother with this place it reminded me of one of the motels that the Grizwalds checked into in National lampoons Summer vacation to wally world with the guy behind the counter chomping on melon as he checked us in. It is a disaster and munich is far better than this place

Had to stay in hotel for 4 nights with my sister on my travel trip in europe..so.. i was looking for budget hotel . I paid around 280 euros. which i think if good bargain for Munich prices,
Few things about hotel..
At first when i saw room i was little dissapointed.. its very simple and kind of older furniture and very small bathroom.. But its NOT horrible,.. its OK room.. works for budget traveler like me ..
About Location. its AWESOME..from main rail station- 3 trams stops..if you travel with laggage.. dont take metro to hotel.. its farther away.. take TRAM 20 or 21.. its stops almost across hotel.. very easy to find.. hotel located across BMW facility..
We also walked few times from hotel to train station . about 10-15 minutes,, you also can walk to city center--25 minutes,
About Breakfast, its was great,., everything you need in morning.
One HUGE plus about hotel.. its has free wireless internet.. you just have to ask for card from reception (one good for 24 hours)
Also... STAFF is fabulus.. especially there was this young guy.. we ask him few times for hot water for coffee.. and he brought to our room.,.,.,and very helpful with maps and directions...
so,., if it your honeymoon.. probabaly dont stay.. but if you are budget traveler and want LOCATION.. yes , go for...

Hotel drab and decorated in very poor taste. Room stank of stale cigarettes. Light over bed not working. Minibar empty. Holes and stains on carpet. Breakfast ok. Would never stay there again. A complete rip off for the price (120 euro
