Had to stay there during a fair, so very few rooms in Munich were available. Paid 100 euros for double room, when rack rate is normally 82 euros. Room was pretty small and decorated in standard German 80s style - rather bland with some distinctly German bad taste upholstery on the one armchair - they love mock-camouflage for cheaper furniture. Lived in Munich 2000-2001, so know the style well. 2 rather small single beds - but pretty comfortable. Only had shower in tight bathroom. Room stank from previous smokers. Breakfast was OK -standard reasonable quality typical for German hotels. Location is convenient for regular trams to Hauptbahnhof in 6 minutes, and 4 minutes walk to metro stop. Located on Dachauer Strasse - busy and utterly charmless street in this stretch - definitely do not get room overlooking it. Convenient for Lowenbrau's beer house and beer garden. Would never choose to stay there if I could get a better place, but given other hotels that were available were horrendously marked up for the fair (e.g Golden Leaf hotel at Lehel - similar quality in better area but over 200 euros) I was not that displeased.
