The hotel is in what used to be an old estate house of a rich family. There are 3 floors but no lift. Rooms are small and while it advertises rooms for 4 and 5 people they are really just fold out beds added to a double room, as is common in Europe. however this makes it very crowded. for 15 euros more p.n we got an additional room and were able to sleep in one while the 2 kids took the other. The owner speaks good English and was very helpful. Breakfast was the best value I had in Europe and is included in price. The hotel is in a suburban and not that nice (though not terrible either) area but is close to an underground station and it is a 15min ride into the heart of Munich

The hotel overcharged my CC provided no service and refused to refund the amount. The staff were sarcastic and rude beyond belief. The location is mediocre and the rates are outrageus for this hotel.

I highly recommend this unique hotel in a quiet neighborhood in Munich. Easily accessible by public transport, and within 4 stops of the city center, this hotel was a great location without the noise that comes with downtown. The hotel is an old house, and rooms have an old-fashioned quaintness to them. The rate includes breakfast and is a great value. I recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for good value, but doesn't want to stay at the sterile, boring chain hotels. This hotel has character, charm, and great "bang for your buck."

Admittedly Munich is an expensive place when it comes to hotels but we would rather stay a little bit away from the city center than come back to this hotel.
Definitely what you are paying for here is the central location and not the quality of the rooms. Everything looked old and worn, the so called bathroom was a joke. Toilet, sink, and shower tub were so crammed, you could wash your hands and put your feet in the shower tub while sitting on the loo. With the bathroom door closed you get claustrophobic.
The cellar of the old house has been transformed into the breakfast room, allowing for little day light and not very inviting for a nice morning coffee.
All in all not recommendable!
