My mom and I stayed at this hotel on two different occasions during our trip to Germany to see Christmas markets in December 2011. Our first night in Munich seemed to be very tight hotel-wise, so we were pleased to even get a room close in the city. We were then pleasantly surprised by what we got for the price (69 Euro). We had a European-style room with the bathroom down the hall. The room was laid out well for two people even thought it was small, and everything was extremely clean, including the shared bathroom (which seemed to get cleaned several times a day from what we could tell). Breakfast was included, and it was really quite good. Lots of fresh choices at several different buffet stations, with table service for the coffee as well. We liked it so much we booked a night there later in the week for our last night in Germany before flying out. That time we had a bathroom in the room for 90 Euro, and it was just as clean and well laid out. The hotel is also very convenient in that it’s right across the street from Munich’s main train station, and it’s only about a 10 minute walk to the main town square.
The only negative thing about the hotel was street noise. Both nights we had a room on the back side of the hotel, and there are 2 youth hostels across the street on that side. We could hear yelling out there from time to time late into the night both nights we were there. If you’re a light sleeper, bring a white noise machine or ear plugs, or request a room on the courtyard side of the hotel, which I assume would be quieter. Other than this one issue, we thought the hotel was very good and would definitely stay here again.
