The hotel is pretty old, our room was small and very very noisy as there is quite a lot of traffic on the street below the windows. We happened ro stay there in a very hot period so could not afford closing the windows (there is no a/c), and the noise was really irritating.
the staff was really great ands helpful, the hotel parking (we booked it in advance writing directly to the hotel) was very convenient, but pretty expensive (19 € per day!).
The hotel location is not bad, you get to the deutsches museum in about 10 minutes, and to maeienplatz im about 20 to 30 minutes of walk. There is also a bus stop right outside the hotel.
However, consider that out is located in a very residential area, so there is literally nothing outside the hotel with the exception of a pharmacy, a bakery (we found the quality really disappointing) and an ice cream shop.
the restaurant annexed to the hotel is good and not expensive. The breakfast they offer though is not worth the 12 € they charge for it.
All in all it was not bad but I would probably search for a different accommodation next time.

This little hotel is siutated in the vicinity of deutsches museum and a tram or bus will take you comfortably in about 15 minutes to the city centre, with a short walk to the transportation. The rooms are comfortable and friendly, not elegant but rather bavarian home kind of style. But the real pearl is the little restaurant situated in the garden of the hotel - Die Schmausefalle. There you get your breakfast - quite adequate - but the real treat is to have your evening meal there! They have excellent bavarian cooking - a kitchen so good that when living in a much posher place later in our holiday we went back there to have our last meal in Munich. The combination of hotel and restaurant feels like home away from home.

I booked a double and was given a tiny single. Didn't have my booking printed out (my fault) and didn't have the energy or inclination to argue so, as was staying on my own, gave in. However, the next day I did show them the booking and they said it was too late as all the double rooms were booked up. No money back offered, even when I pushed for it. I was visiting friends who lived nearby so it was a great base and there's a brilliant restuarant and beer garden attached. You can walk into the centre within about 1/2 hour. However, it was next to a main road so very noisy. The nearby church bells are loud but they're all over Munich so I don't really think grounds for complaint!

Hard to find while driving as the street seems to turn in every direction at once, but once we found it and parked the staff was friendly. Was worried the the discount price on the room was because it was next to the elevator, but noise was not an issue. Internet was 5 euros a day extra. We did not eat there. Pleasant surprise was proximity to bus stop that took us straight to the Marienplatz. Stayed with our pet and had no issues. Parking was extra 9 euros a day if I remember correctly, but was in their closed in garage. Worth the inexpensive price and location was good with bus stop less than a block away. Going back to Munich in August and already booked there again.
