We stayed here for 2 nights as we were attending an event at the Olympic Stadium. The staff were incredibly helpful and gave us loads of directions. The hotel is only tram ride away from the centre. The room is nice and modern-the only downside is that the we booked the room as it had a kitchen but you actually get no cooking equipment,you have to pay extra for that. Due to the hot weather the hotel was warm with no air conditioning. All in all a good hotel in a fantastic location, would visit again.

Stayed 2 nights in June 2011 part of a business trip with a group.
Had room 414 which was on 4th floor and facing the main road in front of the hotel so it was very noisy with an opened window as there's no a/c in room. What a shame especially in summer when temperatures getting hot. Best Western hotels must offer the A/C, even in Germany.

The bed was nice, the TV was nice (flat screen) and the view of the Tower was good too.

But the bathroom was old style, no bath. A small kitchen was provided in room with a fridge to store food and drinks.
Breakfast was very poor in choice and quality as well was the service.
Situation of the hotel was outside the city centre so you have to catch a taxi or the tram.

Next time, I'll choose another place.

The hotel was excellent. Clean, with a comfortable room and plenty of room to move around. The small kitchenette was extremely useful, as we were traveling with a dog and needed someplace to keep his food. The water was always hot. The hotel services were also excellent. The best part was the location - outside of the city center, but 100 meters from the tram station that took you downtown in around 10 minutes - very convenient.

We stayed here in Autumn 2010 and found the location to be the best feature. Though 2.5Km from the centre, it is only a 6-minute tram ride from outside the hotel doors (buy an MVV Partner travel card for €9.40 all day up to 5 persons on all networks!). There are a few restaurants near the hotel (ask at reception for a map), but you can travel easily into the centre to eat. There is a supermarket at Leonrodplatz, about a 3-minute walk away, and a larger store at Sandstraße which is 2 stops on the tram.

The hotel is fairly average in terms of quality and cleanliness - nothing to write home about, although we had a fairly comfortable stay. You may have to ask for extra pillows at the front desk! Booking online, we received a good price which sweetened the deal. Most of the staff speak English to some degree (although some better than others). The bar is fairly good and not too expensive - it's also open until 1am which was convenient for us.

Our room came with a Kitchenette which other reviewers commented was too small, but we found it fine for our needs with a nice cold fridge. The shower was very good - extremely powerful and large.

On the not so good side - the free 'high speed internet' was ridiculously slow, especially at peak times. It also only allows a single device per room, which was annoying for us as we had a laptop each and were eager to upload photos etc. Some may say that you shouldn't complain when it's free, but the WiFi was one of the main reasons we selected this hotel!

Additionally, the television was advertised with CNN, but it appears that they no longer subscribe to this service and there are no other English speaking channels. When I asked about this at the front desk, they just shrugged and said "sorry!".

WARNING: If travelling with children, be warned that the TV broadcasts hardcore porn on two channels at all times of the day before prompting for pay details!

The maid came and cleaned every day and we were satisfied with this.

Overall, a good hotel which we would return to again, especially if you get a good deal online! Don't put all your faith in the online photos, however, as you may be disappointed (as with all hotels!).
