“A nice hotel for frequent visitors.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 March 2011

This was a lovely hotel with spotless, pleasantly decorated rooms. I would certainly recommend this hotel to travellers who have been to Munich before and are comfortable with the public transport system as you need to take the tube (around a 10 minute walk) 2 stops to get to the main square. There is a supermarket next door to the hotel which was very handy. A nice hotel for frequent visitors.

“Good hotel 10 minutes from centre of Munich”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 December 2010

person found this review helpful

This was more of a serviced apartment than a hotel. We were in room 128. The room has a microwave, stove, kitchenware etc.
•Pleasant room with separate bedroom and living area.
•Good lighting.
•Bed is 2 small singles pushed together.
•Lots of wardrobe space.
•In room safe.
•2 x 2 seater sofas plus a coffee table
•Electric venetian blinds are hard to operate. 1 lot closed fine but half an hour later they opened up automatically. The other set did not move.
•Quite poor TV reception
•Bathroom is very nice
•Lobby is really nice and professional looking
To get to town you can catch bus 132 from around the corner. It takes about 10 minutes or less.
Parking is €17 per day in garage or €7 per day on the street (even though the hotel states that there is free parking). It feels like a safe area even at night.
Breakfast was fantastic. Wide selection to suit all tastes.

“Terrible night's sleep”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 December 2010

Although we were very disappointed with our stay overall, I will say that the staff was very friendly and did all they could to help. When booking this hotel, I thought it was going to be located within the city center. This was not the case, however, it was easy to reach via the bus system with a stop located a minute's walk from the hotel. The outside temperatures were below freezing with a foot of snow on the ground in Munich, and the heat in our room was broken! The hotel staff gave us a space heater the first night, but it didn't do much good. Then we requested a second one the next night that was much more sufficient. We were not able to change the channels on our TV, and the one channel that did work was cut in half with static. Our bed consisted of two twin mattresses pushed together with a 4-finger gap in the middle, which resulted in very achey backs during our day-time touring. Also, the room reeked of cigarette smoke. It wasn't quite the romantic weekend we had planned, and we wouldn't stay here again even with the $79 price tag on Hotwire.
