My experience at the Wallis was completely different from most of the reviews here.

My room was down-right dirty, the carpet was old, the towels completely warn-out, the pillows a disgrace. The bathroom was quite cramped and the shower-head caddy was broken, hence I couldn't shower properly.

There was a good assortment for breakfast but, again, I found the breakfast room to be dirty and service poor.

I stayed at hotel Wallis for 6 days in August. Everything was perfect! The hotel is very central, room was very comfortable, stuff very kind and the breakfast very good with big variety. i asked for a room at upper floors facing the road and they give me exactly what i asked for!
If someday be in Munich again i wiil surely stay at Hotel Wallis again!!

We stayed at Hotel Wallis for one night on Sunday 11th December. It is in a pretty good location, close to Marienplatz, the main train station and the underground station at Karlsplatz. It is clean and modern and reasonably comfortable. Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was very good, big selection!

Visiting the Oktoberfest in Munich for 2 days and it's not easy to book a hotel. So the pricing for this 3-star hotel in this hot season is really surprisingly high. Yet, it has a very convenient location and many attractions are within walking distance. The transport cost can be saved providing that you don't mind walking on a street full of sex shops and night clubs. In fact, the room they offered was clean and quiet enough as we had requested a high-floor, non-smoking and garage-facing room. The most impressed service must be their big breakfast buffet which serves many kinds of fresh fruit. Seafood like strimp and smoked salmon are also available. The staff there are also very helpful. I have no regret for having such choice after all.
