So I was here on business and it was during the beer festival so the prices were extortionate so we will leave that part to one side. The positive about this hotel are the location, the service which is friendly and efficient and the place is well presented and clean, the wireless internet access is also cheap (although if you stay in one of the rooms at the end of the floor the reception is not great). The negatives are that the rooms are tiny (and the bathrooms are minute), there are no real facilities to speak of - the hotel does breakfast but it is unspectacular so I would recommend going out, there is no lunch or dinner service and the room service menu is confined to snacks only (sandwiches, cheese etc). The walls are also very thin so expect to hear a reasonable amount of noise and there is also no gym if you into that sort of thing. The television channels are also standard German ones so if you don't speak the language there is not much point in turning it on.
If you can put up with the very small rooms this hotel is fine to use as a base to see the city but other than that I wouldn't recommend it for business travel or for anyone who is going to spend anytime at the hotel itself. I was here at a particularly expensive time of year but from what I can see this hotel is not cheap outside this peak time which is why I scored the value so low. Finally, this hotel is listed as a four star, it certainly is not in my book by any stretch of the imagination...
