So glad that we had booked this awful place for only one night, and that was one night too many!!!!!!!!!! The room was tiny and located directly beside the huge air conditioning system which droned loudly all night. I rang reception to complain and was told they would look into it,..... I'm still waiting. Also, on getting up the next morning, I was horrified to discover a bright red blood stain on the bottom sheet, all tucked in so that it wasn't noticable when I was going to bed, but very obvious the following morning, after all the tossing and turning trying to get to sleep in the first place!!!
I brought these matters to the attention of the man in reception who was very dismissive, and curtly told me that if I had contacted reception the previous night, regarding the noise, I could have been moved to another room. When I informed him that I had indeed contacted reception he just shrugged and said he wasn't on duty the previous evening and what did I expect him to do about it now? He was equally dismissive about the blood stain on the sheet saying it had nothing to do with him??, and was only interested in telling us how much our bill was, and asking what method we would be paying by.
We then went for breakfast, which was self service and, to be fair, very good when we eventually got to eat it. We made our tea and plated two croissants which we brought to the table, and then went to the buffet for some eggs and cold meat. We returned to the table to discover that it had been cleared of our tea etc., and someone else was seated there. We found another table and tried again, this time telling the waitress that we were going to the buffet and would be back in a few minutes, surprise, surprise....another couple were seated at the table and our tea and croissants had once again been cleared away. On our third attempt I decided to get both breakfasts myself, while my husband sat and made sure we had a table to eat them off. What a joke. And what a complete and utter waste of good food.
Altogether I would not recommend this "hotel"? to my worst enemy..........shoe-box rooms, shabby establishment, apalling service and even worse staff, not to mention the blood stained sheets!!!!!!!!!! While the "hotel" is convenient to the center of Munich, the surrounding area is rather seedy, not very nice at all.
I believe that this place belongs to The Fleming's chain of hotels, in which case I will never book a hotel that has this tag to it's name. They should be ashamed of the service provided to their guests, who pay way over the odds for what they are led to believe is a 4 star hotel. Do yourself a favour and avoid this place, there are dozens of far nicer, cleaner hotels in central Munich where, I'm sure, if you are not happy with the service you will, at the very least, get an apology.
Room Tip: Most rooms are smoking, so if you are a non-smoker, you will find them repulsive. Standard rooms are...
