First time in hotel, family of 4 with 2 small children fit comfortably in their maisonette room. Hotel clean, staff v helpful, located a few steps from station which was 1 stop from many attractions. Breakfast was good. only wish was for wifi in your room, otherwise a great stay - we would stay there again.

My friend and I visited the Hotel Exquisit for a two night stay in December. When I checked in, the form asked for my birthday, and I casually mentioned that my birthday was the next day. I didn't expect the surprise that awaited me when we returned to our room the following afternoon...a plate with fresh fruit, mini-muffins and Christmas chocolate, along with a card. That was SO nice!

The hotel was lovely. We had a spacious room with a view of the street below. It could use some updating, but the bed was comfortable. The reception staff was warm and friendly, remembering us when we stopped to pick up the key when we returned from our wanderings. The location is ideal. Near public transportation and an easy walk to the Marienplatz, where we shopped the Christmas market and visited the churches. We DID hear street noise, but it is a little-traveled thoroughfare, so the infrequent chatter of passerbys did not disturb us. Breakfast was copious and varied, with plenty for this vegan to eat, but also lots of meat and cheese and eggs and pastries and...for everyone else. On the weekends it continues until 2 in the afternoon. I would definitely stay here again if I get a chance to return to Munich.

I have to agree with a previous reviewer about one thing. The lack of soap is more than a little odd. I needed to go out and buy a bar at the Body Shop. I used the computer in the lobby to check my email. Didn't bring a laptop with me, so I didn't miss the lack of free Internet access in the room. If you are there on business, however...

This hotel is not deserving of the high rank in Trip Advisor - when I wrote this it was ranked 7th place. I fail to see why.

Customer was ok, could be friendlier. Location is good although I awoke a few times in the night from noises on the street. Bed was comfortable. Room was big. I did not try the restaurant. They did put a little chochlate on the pillows which is nice, and the room was clean. Also you get many many channels on the TV. Walkable distance to the main train station (-avoid late night or erarly morning due the abundance of seedy youth there) and to the main shopping area. Also if you are going to the airport take the S1 or S8 S-bahn from Nord Seite Hauptbahnhof - best to buy Streifenkarte for 12.50 euros and use 8.

The decor is 1980s; from the lamps with plastic knobs, the furniture, carpeting and even phone looks like is is about 10 years old.The bathroom and tub is also from the last two decades. There is a mechanical key to lock the door.

The downsides which are unforgivable: they do not provide you with a soap bar or creme or shampoo. There are plastic squeeze bottles of generic looking soap. Try taking a shower with that. There is a hairdryer but no iron, there is no internet - you pay by the hour (4 euro) or per 10 hours (20 euros!). There is no air conditioning or heating system you can set on your own, there is no coffee machine or kettle.

This hotel is very much a throwback from the time I used to stay here in the 1980s.

This is a very good clean hotel and a perfect place to stay with only a 10 minute walk to Marienplatz and old town, it locates next to U-bahn and Tram stops at Sendlinger Tor station (one stop to central station). They have very good breakfast buffet, excellent staff at reception desk, very clean rooms. Beds are very firm hard, but it is OK if you are there for just a few nights. There is no in-room safe and free safe is available at reception, there is a free computer in reception.
